Sam Jones has a BA in Economics/Finance from
Colby College in Maine and a Master’s in Information Technology from the University
of Denver, Daniels School of Business. Further study included International
Finance at the MacQuarie School of Economics in Sydney, Australia.
As president of the firm, Mr. Jones is responsible
for the entire suite of investment options available to clients of All Season
Financial Advisors, including portfolio design and management, selection of
outside managers, due diligence and oversight of all product offerings. In addition,
he plays a key role in the allocation of client assets amongst the various investment
options as well as client performance reviews and integration with our professional
wealth management partners. Under his direction, assets under management for
the firm have grown 450% to $113 Million in 2008.
Beyond his role as a registered investment advisor
with the SEC since 1994, he is also a past president of NAAIM (National Association
of Active Investment Managers), The Premier Association of Active Money Managers,
a 200 member association of Registered Investment Advisors. Sam has a personal
and professional interest in the renewable energy field as well as green or
Socially Responsible Investing. He is a regular financial columnist for renewableenergystocks.com
and sustainablebusiness.com. He is an active board member in Partnership for
Sustainability as well as a member of the Solutions Council for the Rocky Mountain
Institute.
Sam has been interviewed and quoted in Barron’s,
The Wall Street Journal, Progressive Investor Magazine, Smart Money, Investment
News, Financial Advisor and The Denver Post, as well as participated in local
investment panels as an expert in technical analysis. He has also been accredited
by the Financial Planning Association to teach technical analysis to CFPs for
continuing education credits.
Steven D. Landis, CFP®
Steve is a graduate of Ohio University (B.S., 1973) and The University of Cincinnati
(M.S., 1977). Prior to becoming a financial planning professional, he worked
for nine years in the field of Occupational and Environmental Health with: Union
Carbide Corporation in Oak Ridge, TN, the U.S. Department of Labor, and Battelle
Memorial Institute.
He has been in the practice of financial planning and investment management
for more than twenty-six years. His experience as a financial advisor includes
work with a large financial planning firm for six years. He has been in private
practice, located in Columbus, Ohio, since 1988. Mr. Landis' practice focuses
on the long-term planning and investment needs of middle- and upper-income clients
and small businesses. Additionally, he actively manages client investments using
technical analysis strategies that are designed to provide both market competitive
returns and reduced market risk.
Steve was the 2004 - 2005 President of NAAIM (National Association of Active
Investment Managers) an association of over 150 Investment Advisors who manage
money, using technical analysis, on behalf of clients.
Mr. Landis is a Certified Financial Planner® Practitioner (CFP), and a Principal
Member of Sojourn Financial Strategies, LLC. He is a member of the Worthington
Estate Planning Council and the National Association of Active Investment Managers.
Sean holds a Bachelor of Arts in Organizational Behavior and Management from Brown University and a Master of Science degree in Financial Markets and Trading from the Illinois Institute of Technology.
Before founding Surgo Capital Management, Sean supervised several family partnerships. He worked with Lotsoff Capital Management from 2000 through 2008, managing and supervising several different investment products that invested in equities, credit, currencies, and global bonds. Sean has experience in creating investment programs across multiple asset classes in both traditional and alternative investments with a focus on controlling risk.
Prior to Lotsoff Capital Management he created a hedge desk for Wickes Lumber
from 1997-2000 and worked for Cargill, Inc. trading cash grain markets from
1994-1996.
Jamie received his MBA from The William E. Simon Graduate School of Business at the University of Rochester, and his Bachelor of Arts in Economics from the University of Colorado and attended The University of York in England. Jamie was the president of the CFA Society of Colorado in 2008 and a current member.
From 1994 to1996, Jamie served as an analyst with the Gartner Group working
with the pension plan and 401k program. From 1996 to January 1999, Jamie worked
as a financial analyst covering the software industry for Schwab SoundView
Capital Markets in Greenwich, Connecticut and Bear Stearns in New York City.
Prior to founding Dunn Warren Investment Advisors he worked with Corboy and
Jerde from 2000 to 2001, an investment bank specializing in public and private
equity investments.
Lauren Sigman is the president of Sigman Financial Fitness (www.sigmanf2.com) as well as an employee of All Season Financial Advisors, Inc.
Lauren Sigman has over 25 years of experience in personal financial planning, mortgage finance and real estate. She created Sigman Financial Fitness® to work with people looking for individualized, creative ways to manage their financial fitness, no matter what shape they're in.
An avid skier and rock climber, Lauren's passion for the outdoors drew her to Colorado in the early '90s. Before moving to Colorado, Lauren spent 12 years in the financial industry. She was an investment banker with Morgan Stanley & Co., a financial analyst with J.W. O'Connor & Co., and Vice President of Finance for Silverstein Properties, a Forbes 400 commercial real estate developer in New York City, where she was responsible for arranging over $1 billion in financing.
Lauren is also a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER, a member of the Colorado Chapter of the Financial Planning Association and an associate member of the Colorado Bar Association in the Family Law division. She earned her undergraduate degree from the Woodrow Wilson School for Public and International Affairs at Princeton University and her MBA from Harvard Business School.
In addition to her professional activities, Lauren is active in the community. She teaches rock climbing and is an active fundraiser for the Women's Wilderness Institute (WWI) a nonprofit organization offering educational, inspirational courses in backpacking, rock climbing, mountain biking, canoeing, fly fishing and yoga. WWI's mission is to strengthen the courage, confidence and leadership skills of girls and women through the challenge and support of wilderness and community based experiences.
Lauren also serves on the board of the Professional Climbing Instructors Association ("PCIA") (www.pcia.us) The PCIA's mission is to provide technical and educational information to all levels of the instructional climbing community in an effort to nurture a flow of best practices aimed at improving the safety, quality and delivery of technical climbing instruction.
Marc Bradac is a senior partner with Denver based
CPA firm Hansen & Co. He is a strategic wealth management partner of All
Season Financial Advisors but formally independent of our firm.
